WordPress Roadmap: Contributor and Mentor Programs

Day 10: #WP20 From Blogs to Blocks

My favorite upcoming WordPress project from the WordPress roadmap is the "Establishment of Contributor and Mentor program".

Currently, the contribution process to WordPress is a bit complex in my view for a new contributor. There are different handbooks, slack channels, and other resources involved which just confuses a beginner contributor.

The establishment of a Contributor and Mentor program will help future contributors to come up to speed on the process and thus make the WordPress eco-system more open and strong.
